This was the first Thanksgiving at our house and we had several turkey mishaps. I got the turkey out of the fridge where it had been supposedly defrosting for four days, but yes, Thanksgiving day it was still frozen. So we took a trip to the store to buy a fresh turkey. We prepared that one and put it in the roaster oven to cook and realized after about 2 1/2 hours that it wasn't on and the turkey was still raw. (That is when we took the picture above) But the third time is a charm and I finally got the turkey right.

Lea and Jonah LOVED helping to make the yams and eating the marshmallows.

Grandma and Grandpa Leighton flew in from Oregon, Mom and Dad flew in from California, Steven flew in from Seattle, and Cheryl and David drove all the way from Provo for our Pleasant Grove Thanksgiving.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwww!

The man of the house carving the turkey.

Our traditional Leighton family game of Scrabble. No one ever stands a chance with Mom and Steven playing though.

Sleeping it off.

Our 2nd Thanksgiving Dinner was with the Boyers. The cousins love playing together in Nana's playroom.

Lounging around watching football after the Thanksgiving feast. Michelle and Dave and the newest addition to the family, beautiful Isabella. We also had Jared and Marie's adorable newborn Elias to ooh and aah over. Grandma Boyer and Stan. Good Times.
