Valentines Day Activities

On Valentine's Day Micah helped Mommy make sugar cookies while Lea and Jonah were in school.

We had a lot of fun baking together!

Although we were making heart-shaped cookies, Micah wanted a gingerbread man cookie. So here he is with his gingerbread man. He kept singing "Run, run, as fast as you can. You can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man!"

We had a family Valentines Day dinner with heart-shaped pizzas. It was yummy!

Grandma gave the kids Valentine Balloons and candy.

Daniel gave flowers to Lea and I. Thanks honey!

That night we decorated sugar cookies and had a good time together.

Delicious!

Daniel gave me a new Hoodie Footie for Valentines Day as well! Very comfy!
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Family Beach Day

Shortly after we returned from Hawaii we wanted to take the kids to the beach. Yes we did miss them when we were at the beach in Hawaii. So luckily in Northern California there are often days with great weather and one Saturday we spent a day at the beach with the kids.

Unlike Hawaii the water is quite cold so Daniel brought wet suits for the kids to play in the water.

Of course we had fun playing in the sand too.

Daniel taught Lea and Jonah how to boogie board. The waves weren't great but they were sufficient and the kids had a lot of fun. They did well for their first time boogie boarding.

Daddy and Micah made a little sand island for Micah to stand on and be "protected" by the waves.

Here's Micah being silly.

Jonah met another 7 year old little boy at the beach and they had a great time playing together. Jonah is such a friendly guy!

Lea and Mommy relaxed in the sun snacking together after she was done boogie boarding.

Micah's island!

Beach sunsets are the best!

What a fun day! We are so lucky to live so close to the ocean!

Valentines Day

1. Got Aleena some really cute pajamas.
2. Got Aleena and daughter Flowers.
3. Got home from work and had a Valentines Family Home Evening
4. Got situated to watch "Serendipity", with Aleena.

Background:

When we were dating, before we were engaged, we watched Serendipity and loved it and it helped us noticed more how much we loved each other.

Outcome:

1. My sweet, pregnant, exhausted wife fell asleep a quarter of the way into our movie.
2. I finished the movie with misty-joy eyes, looked over at my wife in her cute pajamas, snoring up a storm of Z's and pondered how amazing it is that our capacity to love someone more is truly limitless.
