Micah and his Blankie

The above pictures are how Micah reacted when I put his favorite blankie in the washing machine. He is so attached to this blankie and he is the first of any of my kids to be this way. He LOVES to cuddle with soft blankets and pillows and this blanket is his favorite. He was not happy with me when I had to wash his blankie and he let me know it! But after his blankie was washed and dried, I gave it back to him and he was the happiest boy in the world. All smiles and giggles - now I have my happy boy back!

Homemade Doughnuts - YUMMY!

My first attempt at making homemade doughnuts was fantastic! I made two different recipes - cake doughnuts and yeast doughnuts and everyone preferred the yeast doughnuts, but both were delicious! This was super fun to do. The yeast doughnut recipe was from Alton Brown of the Food Network and I got it online. So yummy! I will definitely be doing this again sometime!

Simple Outside Fun

This week we have been having some simple outside fun. We rode bikes to the library and saw a magic show there and checked out new books. The wind was at our backs on the way to the library so it was pretty easy getting there. The ride back home, however, was a hard ride against the wind as it really picked up that afternoon!

Dan cleaned off his kayak in the backyard from a kayak trip he went on with Jonah (more on that in a post to come) and he filled it up with water for the kids to play in.

Micah had fun splashing around!

Goin' Fishin'

This was a fun moment when all three kids were playing together so well...gotta cherish those moments.

Swim Party with cousins

My cousin Jacey visited from Southern California with her kids and we had them over for a swim party and BBQ at my Mom's house. Our kids are like cousins to each other and they had a great time together. We all had a very fun visit.

Cambria taught Lea how to do a "George Washington" hairdo!

The big boys messin' around on the trampoline.

Micah and Micah - I always get one of these pictures when we are together.

Bear Lake 2010

This year for the Boyer Family Reunion we had all the usual fun with tournaments, beach fun, pool fun, and family fun. The picture above is of Jonah and Micah watching their Daddy cross the finish line of the mini triathlon. Good Job Daniel! He participated in the golf tournament and his team took second place. He also played in the volleyball tournament and had a great time.

Running to the finish! Go Dan Go!

Tuesday was Sonja's birthday! Happy Birthday Sonja!

The cool couple - oh yeah!

SUPERMEN!

Little Monkeys jumping on the bed!

We had fun with lots of walks and bike rides and scooter rides.

More Park Fun

Micah and Lizzie love each other! They gave each other lots of hugs at Bear Lake.

Pool Fun

This year the Ideal Beach Resort that we stay at added a water slide to the pool. The kids loved it!

Of course Dan's paddle boards were a hit in the lake and in the pool.

One of the nights we were at Bear Lake Sonja bought this HUGE pizza for us to have for dinner. It was yummy!

Cousins watching a movie - peace and quiet for the grown-ups!

More Beach Fun

The last day at Bear Lake we all pitched in to build sand castles. We started with a sand castle for some My Little Ponies for the girls to play with and then we continued to build a dinosaur castle for the boys. It was a lot of fun and everyone helped and used their creativity. The little kids were very creative and had a great time building moats and islands and roadways in between the two castles.

More Pool Fun

When we got back to Pleasant Grove after our week in Bear Lake we went to a dollar theater to see How To Train Your Dragon. We loved it! The kids did great!

Micah fell asleep half-way through the movie. It was his first time in a movie theater. Our whole family enjoyed this splendid vacation and we have a lot of memories to bring home to California with us.
