Easter Morning

Lea and Jonah are excited to find their Easter Baskets! I explained to them that when Jesus died they put His body in a tomb and three days later on Easter morning He was resurrected and He was out of the tomb. His friends didn't know where he was and just like we don't know where our Easter baskets are. When they saw Jesus and He told them He was resurrected, everyone was happy and it was like getting a special treat and that is why we find our baskets and they have treats in them to remind us of the sweetness of Jesus and that we can be resurrected too.
Jonah found his basket first!
Both Lea and Jonah were excited when they found their baskets filled with bubbles, stickers, a jump rope, a stuffed bunny, jelly bean-filled plastic eggs and a chocolate bunny.
Yummy!
Happy Easter everyone!

Update

Hello everyone, I know it's been a while. Daniel, Lea, and Jonah and I are in California but we will be returning to Utah on Tuesday March 25th. My dad's surgery did not go as well as we had hoped. He has locally advanced pancreatic cancer and it is inoperable as the cancer is not just contained inside the pancreas. It is in surrounding lymph nodes and also attached to an artery. This was devastating news to us but it has been nice to spend time together. My dad is out of the hospital and he's feeling pretty good. We are looking into starting chemo and radiation soon so he might not be feeling well in the near future. Hopefully the chemo will prolong his life and we will be able to have many more memories together. So even though we are returning to Utah for a few weeks we will come back to California where we will spend a lot of time with my parents. We are even looking into the possibility of moving to Cali. So yes, we have been making tough decisions and dealing with even tougher possibilities. I'm so grateful for family and friends and most of all for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have just celebrated Easter and what a wonderful reminder of Christ's atonement and resurrection. If it weren't for these selfless sacrifices of love, we could not become like our Father in Heaven and be eternal families.

To California

Well, I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be in California for about a month so you won't see any new blogs from me for a while. Just a reminder for everyone, my dad is having surgery on Monday, March 10th. Please keep him and our family in your prayers.

Lea and Elias

Lea is such a little mommy. Here she is holding her baby cousin Elias and being so sweet to him. He might not know what's going on but Lea is full of love for him!
