Christmas Morning 2007

Christmas Morning!
The milk and cookies are all gone! Santa came!

Time to open presents!
Spiderman 1,2,&3

Jonah's so excited he's making funny faces!

The kids got aprons that mom sewed for them!

Daniel and Aleena had decided not to spend a lot of money this year on each other because remodeling our kitchen was our Christmas present. But to Aleena's surprise and delight, Daniel broke that rule and bought Aleena exactly what she wanted - a professional Kitchen Aid Stand-Up Mixer 600!!!

We also surprised the kids with the sugar-gliders, our new pets! They were so excited! We were all having so much fun watching Lea and Jonah's reaction that we forgot to take pictures but I managed to get this one a few minutes later after we put them back in their cage and they were cuddled up sleeping in the hanging pouch.

Happy Birthday Jonah!

On December 23rd Jonah turned 3 years old!
Here are some of his presents!

We went to Kangaroo Zoo together as a family to celebrate Jonah's birthday! Lea and Jonah had so much fun!

Our New Pets

We are now the proud owners of 4 sugar gliders - exotic pets from Australia. We have 1 male and 3 females and we plan to breed them to earn a little extra money. Yes I know, I would have never thought we'd be doing this either, but Dan loves animals and he is loving these little ones. They are very tiny and friendly and they are growing on me. They are becoming cute to me now. We are keeping them a secret from our kids for now. We want Lea and Jonah to be surprised Christmas morning and have them be a Christmas present to our family.
Dan is in heaven with these little critters. They like to hang out in your pocket and cuddle in the day, when they are tired and mostly sleeping - they are nocturnal - but at night they have lots of energy and they are climbing all over Dan.

Here is a little ball we got for them to run around in.

Lea's Dance Recital

Lea's class had a snowflake theme. Here's the cutest little snowflake of all!
Lea was so excited for her recital and she enjoyed every second on the stage.

Our dancing princess had a great time dancing and watching the other dancers at her Christmas dance recital.

Lazy morning with Mom

More Snow Fun!

Daddy and Jonah made their very own igloo in the backyard.

Lea's 4th Birthday Party

On Lea's real birthday on Wednesday, December 5th we had a small celebration. I hadn't bought birthday candles yet so we improvised.

Lea loved the present she got from Grandma and Grandpa - a super cute butterfly outfit and a Disney princess notepad.

Saturday morning started off right with a Barbie breakfast to begin her Barbie Birthday.

This is Aleena's masterpiece Barbie birthday cake for Lea.
She is four years old and an expert candle blower-outer.

Yummy Sugar High!

Lea feels like a princess in the new princess dress she got from her Nana. Jonah is the gentlemanly prince charming dancing with her. They were inspired to dance from the Barbie 12 dancing princesses movie that Lea got from Uncle David.

Opening Presents

One of Jonah's favorite parts of the party was the pinata. He has such a sweet tooth.
Some of Lea's treasured birthday gifts.
Aunt Cheryl gave Lea a beautiful Unicorn! Lea loved it!
