Lea turns 6!

Our little Lea is 6 years old! It's official! As requested, Lea got Swedish pancakes (crepes) and hot chocolate for her breakfast in bed on her birthday. She is truly a wonderful girl and we love her very much. We are so happy you are in our family Lea!

Since Lea's birthday was on a Saturday, we had time to get our Christmas tree. Fun! Notice that all three children are in overalls. Lea asked specifically if they could all match in their overalls on her birthday. So cute!

Afterward, mom and dad gave Lea her present - a cool reversible coat. She loves that it is reversible and it can be either pink or white! Just in time for cold winter weather.

That evening we went to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom where it was all decorated for Christmas and we had some fun!

They had a snow making machine in one part of the park and Lea and Jonah really liked trying to catch snowflakes on their tongues. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

We even got to go sledding!

Micah stayed with Grandma because it really got cold that night and when we picked him up after Discovery Kingdom, Grandma had a gift for Lea too! An easy bake oven!

After a yummy dinner of chili and cornbread (Lea's favorite), Lea blew out her candles and we dove into the triple layered strawberry birthday cake.

Happy Birthday Lea!

Autumn Christmas Party

Leaves, Leaves, and More Leaves...it was hard to get into the Christmas Season when it still looked and felt like October at the beginning of the month. December 5th was our Church Christmas Party and this was early in the day. The kids were playing out in the leaves while the adults decorated the inside.

Lovin' the Leaves

This was the day before Lea's birthday so Lea got this birthday crown to wear that whole Friday at school.
Here is a glimpse of the Christmas Party. Most everyone wore pajamas and Lea helped in leading the Christmas Carols.

My mom and I wore matching PJ's

Thanksgiving

This is the Japanese Maple tree in front of my mom's house that I just LOVE!

This Thanksgiving we went up to Grants Pass, Oregon to Grandma and Grandpa Leighton's house. Here is the kid table that Lea and Jonah helped Grandma decorate. Aunt Karina joined us which was awesome, and Kara, David, and Cheryl flew in from Utah to be with us too. We had a great Thanksgiving weekend. And BYU cougars won against U of U! Yay!

It has become a tradition for Dan to carve the turkey!

David taught Lea some dance moves and then he and Kara showed off a little! Fun!

Saturday night after Thanksgiving Lea and Jonah got to decorate Grandma and Grandpa's Christmas tree!

Fancy Day at the Park

This was Lea's outfit for "Fancy Day" at school. We curled her hair and painted her nails too! Isn't she cute?

On Tuesdays Jonah has a playdate with his friend Stephen. Here they are playing at the park.

Swingin' Micah!
