Bear Lake 2010

This year for the Boyer Family Reunion we had all the usual fun with tournaments, beach fun, pool fun, and family fun. The picture above is of Jonah and Micah watching their Daddy cross the finish line of the mini triathlon. Good Job Daniel! He participated in the golf tournament and his team took second place. He also played in the volleyball tournament and had a great time.

Running to the finish! Go Dan Go!

Tuesday was Sonja's birthday! Happy Birthday Sonja!

The cool couple - oh yeah!

SUPERMEN!

Little Monkeys jumping on the bed!

We had fun with lots of walks and bike rides and scooter rides.

Park Fun

Miniature Golf

More Park Fun

Micah and Lizzie love each other! They gave each other lots of hugs at Bear Lake.

Pool Fun

This year the Ideal Beach Resort that we stay at added a water slide to the pool. The kids loved it!

Of course Dan's paddle boards were a hit in the lake and in the pool.

One of the nights we were at Bear Lake Sonja bought this HUGE pizza for us to have for dinner. It was yummy!

Cousins watching a movie - peace and quiet for the grown-ups!

More Beach Fun

The last day at Bear Lake we all pitched in to build sand castles. We started with a sand castle for some My Little Ponies for the girls to play with and then we continued to build a dinosaur castle for the boys. It was a lot of fun and everyone helped and used their creativity. The little kids were very creative and had a great time building moats and islands and roadways in between the two castles.

More Pool Fun

When we got back to Pleasant Grove after our week in Bear Lake we went to a dollar theater to see How To Train Your Dragon. We loved it! The kids did great!

Micah fell asleep half-way through the movie. It was his first time in a movie theater. Our whole family enjoyed this splendid vacation and we have a lot of memories to bring home to California with us.

Thanksgiving Point Farm and Dinosaur Museum

On Monday July 5th, we went to the Farm and Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. It was very fun. The kids had a blast with their cousins as usual.

Lea and Bekah wanted to see the pregnant cow.

Waiting in line to ride the horses - Jonah's got his ticket ready!

Micah liked getting up close and personal.

Uncle Dave brought corn kernels to feed the animals...little did she know they would eat something else of hers as well...

Poor Lea, the taller goat thought her flower clip in her hair was food and bit it right out of Lea's hair. She was pretty shaken up about it for a little while. Daddy was able to grab it out of the goats mouth but the sequin in the middle was gone forever. We washed the bow and mommy will have to fix it later. But is was a pretty scary experience for little Lea.

Luckily her cousins helped her feel better! Lea loves Sarah and Bekah and these three girls have so much fun together!

Lizzie is 26 months old and Micah is 16 months old and they are practically the same size, but Lizzie kept getting excited about the "baby" and squeal "Baby! Baby!"every time she saw Micah during our visit. Lizzie is adorable and here is a picture of her holding Baby Micah. Micah was unsure about the attention at first but he and Lizzie quickly bonded and he loves his cousin and gives her hugs now all the time.

Walking to the Dinosaur Museum.

Jonah and Tezra were cute little dinosaurs.
Scary faces!

Face Painting - all the kids got their faces painted before going into the museum.

At the end of the museum the kids got to play with toy dinosaurs in the sand. It was a fun-filled day!

Fireworks for July 4th!

We drove to Utah on July 2nd and so we were able to spend a wonderful July 4th weekend with the Boyer side of the family. We stayed at Nana and Bapa's house and they have a great view of the fireworks in their city. These are pictures of the kids waiting for the fireworks show to start! Micah was already asleep.

Lea's Haircut

Lea's hair was super long, but she decided she wanted a change and she got 6 inches cut off! I didn't get a before picture but in previous posts you can see how long her hair was.

Lea is super cute with her new hair style!
