We were lucky to spend my nephew Spencer's 7th birthday with him. He asked for "Monsters" for his favorite meal. These are German pancakes with powdered sugar or syrup on them.
Jonah chose powdered sugar and decided to decorate his face with it.
On his real birthday Spencer opened gifts from family.
Jonah was excited about the gift he gave Spencer.
We had a yummy cake the night of his birthday that was cutely decorated with Star Wars figures. Spencer is really into Star Wars right now and he chose that as his theme for his birthday party the next day.
We had lots of helpers decorating for the party.
Heidi and I made these fun Star Wars snacks for the kids. They are light saber pretzels, green meteor rock and wookie cookies. They were a hit!

Sarah and Lea got Princess Leia hairdos!
When the guests arrived they decorated a bag with Star Wars characters and markers.
Then they were each given a ticket to Jedi Training that they had to turn in to R2D2.
Each Jedi in training needed to pass 5 tests in order to become a true Jedi.
They had to shoot storm troopers with "blasters",
...pin the light saber on the Jedi,
...pop the balloon and get the glow sticks inside,
practice hand-to-hand combat with their own "light sabers",

(kids vs. Seth)
...and destroy the death star pinata!
Once they completed all five tests the girls took turns being Princess Leia and presented the Jedi with a medal.

Lizzie and Micah really enjoyed their cupcakes, and everyone enjoyed the fun Star Wars party! Happy Birthday Spencer!
