Fathers Day Weekend

The Saturday before Fathers Day we enjoyed a beautiful 87 degree day at the beach!
Jonah could play in the sand all day! He found several sand crabs and they kept him occupied for much of the day. He loves creatures and animals. He played with a friendly dog (with supervision of its owner) for a good half hour too.
Our good friends the Olsens are moving to Texas in a few weeks. We will miss them, but we brought two of their boys with us to the beach while Brent and Anissa were house hunting. We have Derek for most of the week and we have been having fun with him.

Micah was a happy kid. He played in the sand and the water and just loved being at the beach.

Lea played a lot in the water and then she would lay out to dry and warm up before going back in again.
Daddy set up a nice little tent for shade.
Lea and Braden had a lot of fun boogie boarding!

Daniel never has trouble finding bikini clad women to play with him.   :)  He had a blast playing beach volleyball on Fathers Day weekend!

Daniel played well and had lots of great hits!

After church on Sunday Daniels pregnant wife spent 5 hours in the kitchen preparing a scrumptious Fathers day meal. Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, steamed veggies, and of course a fabulous chocolate mud cake with vanilla ice cream. Because of the turkey occupying the oven I made the cake in the crock pot! Who knew!?! It was delicious!

After dinner Daddy and the kids played games and had a good time.
Happy Fathers Day!

Oakland Zoo Trip

Lea's Girl Scout Troop went to the Oakland Zoo and Jonah and Micah and I went along!
This was Micah's first zoo trip and he loved it. Here we were looking at the tiger.
Here are all the fun kids we went with!

It was a really hot day that day and the kids needed to cool off in this little pond area. The bummer about the heat was that many of the animals were in hiding. It was too hot for them to come out. We still got to see plenty though.

We ended our trip with a train ride where we saw Emu's and other Australian Outback animals.
We had a great time at the Zoo!

I love to see the temple...

My cousin Laura was married on June 2nd and my cousin Jacey and I went to the temple with our daughters. Lea and Cambria get along so well and they had a blast spending the day together. It was a beautiful day and we got some great pictures of our beautiful girls! One day it will be their turn to be brides married in the temple! We love our cousins!

Sprinklers!

Running through the sprinklers - more than enough fun for any generation! I remember loving this when I was a kid!

Lea's Ode to Micah

I love how sweet my kids are with each other. Lea is a fantastic big sister to her brothers and I know she will be awesome with Emma too. Here is a sweet poem she wrote for Micah. She is such a loving girl. So cute!
