4th of July

 We had a fantastic 4th of July. We all got on our festive attire and snapped some pictures in the morning. Then we went to the annual 4th of July breakfast/block party that my mom and her neighbors do every year. Yummy!

 Then we drove to Kehoe Beach at Point Reyes. We chose this beach because you have to hike in so it is never crowded. We brought my mom with us and three families that we are really good friends with - The Andersons, Olsens, and Wangsgards.

 Although the scenery was pretty, it was quite the hike for an 8-month-old pregnant woman.

 The kids loved having their friends to play with and Daniel and I loved having our friends to play with. :) It was so much fun to sit and talk and relax and laugh together!

 It was so much fun to have my mom with us too! I'm so glad she came!

 The kids were happy as clams the whole day with sand, water, and friends.

 As you can see, we pretty much had the beach to ourselves. It was so cool to have our own beautiful private beach!

 Daniel took the kids on an adventure as they walked up and down the beach and explored the rocks and huts along the shore.

 Jonah found lots of hermit crabs.

 Daniel got to play Indiana Jones with this seaweed whip he found.

 Beautiful Kehoe Beach! What a great day!

Drive In Movie

 Last weekend we went with some friends of ours to the Drive In Movie Theater. We watched Brave with the kids, then we put them to bed in the back of the Suburban and the grown ups watched The Avengers (our second time seeing it). I fell asleep off and on as the movie didn't end till 2am! Way too late for a pregnant woman!

 The flash on the camera was a little bright for Jonah. :) The above pictures are when the kids were going to bed and the pictures below were the kids after they fell asleep.

I love my three little cuties! We had a great time. Wish we had taken more pics.

One Month Left!

I can't believe I am 8 months pregnant already! The first two trimesters went by so slowly but this last one is flying by! We are all excited for baby Emma to arrive!

Mohawks!

 So I asked Daniel to give the boys buzz cuts for the summer, and this is what happened... Mohawks!

 Jonah is so tough!

 And Micah is Sonic!

 I love these boys! They felt like superheroes!

This was very fun for a day, but then Mommy buzzed the mohawks off. Daddy was a little sad. :(

Relay For Life 2012

 For the second year the kids and I went with my mom to Relay For Life. Daniel was on a scout campout. It is nice that this event always falls near Fathers Day and it becomes a day to honor my Dad. We brought a lot of small bills to support the various booths selling goods and services to donate the money to the American Cancer Society. Jonah, Micah, and Lea all wanted their faces painted. Jonah wanted a tiger face. He looks grrrreat!

 Then of course Micah wanted to be like his brother so he chose to be a blue tiger. Yep, blue is still his favorite color.

 And to complete the trio, Lea decided on having a pink tiger face.

 So cute!

 My aunt Cheryl always makes flower clips to sell and give all the money to fund cancer research. We love to support her and hang out at her booth. :)

 We made a bag for my Dad and we stayed late for the luminaria ceremony at dark. This is when the whole field is lined with these bags dedicated to loved ones lost to cancer. Each bag is lit with a glow stick. Then there are a couple of inspiring cancer survivors that speak and beautiful music is played while everyone (holding lit glowsticks) walk the track together. It was a touching ceremony.

 The boys bought some extra fun glow sticks.

This was Jonah and my mom, Lea, and Micah on Uncle Ken's shoulders as we walked the track with everyone else. Sweet Lea was quite moved and emotional as she thought of her Grandpa Ken. We love him and miss him so much!
