Random Fun

The kids went to the Jelly Belly Factory with Aunt Cheryl during her visit. They waited in line for 45 minutes and then found out they still had over an hour wait left, so they skipped the tour and bought some Jelly Belly's at the gift shop instead. Note to self - do not go to the Jelly Belly Factory during Christmas vacation!

We three kings of orient are - Jonah, Daniel, and Micah were just hanging out wearing these two crowns (one of them Jonah made). I love these boys!

Rock Band Fun!

My brother steven has all the instruments and Rock Band 1,2, and 3. So he is an expert! We had a lot of fun with my brothers and sisters while they were visiting this Christmas. Playing Rock Band with everyone was a highlight for me. In these pictures Kara is on guitar, Steven, on drums, and I'm playing the bass guitar. So much fun!

Christmas Day

Merry Christmas! This year on Christmas morning everyone slept in! All the kids were up till 10pm the previous night and they didn't wake up until 8:30am! Yay for mom and dad!

Of course Lea and Jonah were excited - Micah didn't know what was going on but he was just happy to be with his family!
He found some pretty ribbon.
Lea gave him his stocking and all the kids began looking through and opening gifts from their stockings. Inside were Mandarin oranges, chocolate oranges, a DVD and a toy.

Mommy had warm, fuzzy socks in her stocking!

It is our tradition for each member of the family to open gifts one at a time going from youngest to oldest. So Micah opened his present from Santa first. He needed help with the wrapping but he was happy when he got his bath toy set.

Jonah got a 405 piece Lego set!

And Lea got Lulu's Walkin' Kitty which was #1 on her wish list!

Micah loved this little school bus at the store so I bought it for him a couple of months ago and saved it for Christmas.
Dan got all the Killers CD's - he's a big fan!

Thanks for the flashlight Nana and Bapa! It is a hit!

The kids each got new hoodie sweatshirts this year.

Jonah's sweatshirt says "What Attitude?" and Jonah's face is reflecting that here.

Daniel got a big Nerf gun that he was pleasantly surprised about! Look at that grin!

Jonah made Mommy a ceramic caterpillar.

Lea made Daddy this adorable ornament.

Each year we give the kids a spiritual gift.
Lea got a special bookmark with a picture of Christ and a scripture on the back.
Dan got some athletic shirts.
Lea got a watch and a jewelry box from Nana and Bapa.
Jonah's spiritual gift was his very own Book of Mormon!

This year Aunt Sage had us for Christmas on the Boyer side of the family. We got some great gifts from her.
Micah loves this little caterpillar he got from Sage.

A package opener - very handy!

Jonah and Lea exchanged gifts from each other. Jonah gave Lea this Barbie and Lea gave Jonah a joke knife that retracts so it looks like it really goes into you. They love their gifts.

'Tis the season of the Nerf gun! Falalalala-lalalala! This year was definitely a Nerf gun year for our family! We each got Nerf guns from our Boyer relatives! Super awesome!

Lea was very happy when she got this new locking diary from Nana and Bapa.

Sage gave Jonah a policeman/FBI kit - very cool. And Lea got a cute cheerleading pom-pom and megaphone.

By the end of the opening gifts excitement/chaos, Micah was feeling a bit overwhelmed. He kept wanting Lea's kitty and when he couldn't have it, he cried. Poor Baby.

Daddy surprised us all with a jukebox! It's very cool!

And Santa brought Mommy and Daddy a massage table! Yay!

After opening all our gifts, of course we had to play with our toys!

We now have daily Nerf Wars at our house!

Then as tradition Mommy makes cinnamon rolls and they turned out delicious this year!

We also had hot chocolate with Christmas marshmallows in them! Yummy!

Here is a picture of Lea and Jonah in their new sweatshirts and boots! Cuties! Jonah is trying to look tough.

That afternoon we drove to my mom's house where we had Christmas with my mom and brothers and sisters and Aunt Karina.

Lea spent her own money at the dollar store to buy each person a gift. Lea is a very generous, sweet girl.
Yummy gift card to cold stone from Grandma!

Steven opened his gift from Lea!

Cute boots Mom!

Karina gave Jonah this cool Spiderman pin ball game - he loves it!

Aunt Cheryl gave our family The Karate Kid movie!
Yummy chocolate orange - they are one of my favorite Christmas treats!

The kids each got new jammies and slippers from Grandma!

Yeah, Aunt Cheryl gave Jonah a big Nerf gun like Daddy's! He was so excited!

Karina gave Micah this super cute tool set.

Micah has started watching Sesame Street and he LOVES Elmo! He was very excited to open Aunt Cheryls present to him - Tickle Me Elmo! Then when it started to shake and laugh, Micah got scared of it. By the end of the evening he was liking it again and now he loves it!

We enjoyed playing around and just hanging out together the rest of the day.
Pomegranate eyes!

We had a yummy turkey dinner and my mom had presented a beautiful table scape for Christmas Dinner.

Lea was figuring out how to play the melodies of Christmas Carols. She did a good job too! Lea LOVES playing the piano. I really want to start her in piano lessons (she REALLY wants to take lessons) but we don't have a piano. Hopefully some day...

By Christmas night the girls were getting a little wild with the sparkling cider! :)

When it was time to go, Micah thought he was ready to fill Daddy's shoes - literally!

Merry Christmas Everyone! We hope your Holiday was as enjoyable as ours and full of love!
