Mothers Day

I love being a mom! I love my children and I am honored to take care of them. I feel closer to God as a mother. It is such a special thing to help create life and nurture God's children while they are in my care here on earth. Thanks to Lea, Jonah, and Micah who let me experience the amazing gift of motherhood.

Saturday afternoon Daniel took care of the kids while I went shopping with my mom. What a great way to start off Mothers Day weekend! While I was away, Daniel was helping the kids make a surprise gift for Mothers Day. Sunday morning the kids could hardly wait to show me. I was presented with these lovely works of art that the kids created for me on canvas. They are beautiful modern impressionistic pieces that I was so impressed with. And I am super impressed with Daniel who had the idea!

Lea's is the flower on the bottom, Jonah painted a picture of me on a surf board in the middle, and Micah's is on top with beautiful colors. I love them all!

After a wonderful afternoon at church we invited my mom over for dinner where Daniel cooked a delicious meal for us. What a wonderful Mothers Day!

Student of the Month

We are so proud that Lea has been chosen to be the Student of the Month for her class. She received her award for having a good work ethic. Great job Lea!

FHE at the creek

There is a fun little creek by our house that we discovered and last Monday we had Family Home Evening there. It was a lot of fun!

Walking on the trail to the creek.

This is the awesome tree swing by the creek. Lea and Jonah love swinging on it.

Daddy had a good time paddle boarding and Lea and Jonah each took turns going on it with him.

Micah enjoyed throwing rocks into the creek.

We had a great time at the creek!

Easter 2011

This Easter was very fun. We invited a few friends over to my mom's backyard for an Easter Egg Hunt/Brunch on Saturday. Micah and Allison were very cute to watch as always.

After a delicious brunch and great conversation we brought the young kids to the front yard for a game of Duck, Duck, Goose while the three older boys hid the Easter Eggs in the backyard.

Caleb Ball - one of our expert hiders.

Micah knew just what to do and he started collecting eggs right away.

Jonah and Lea had lots of fun too.

Run Lea! Run Delaney!

All the kids who participated - the Olsens, the Balls, the Boyers, and the Callisters.

Micah LOVES to swing!

Saturday afternoon Lea and Jonah dyed Easter Eggs while Micah napped.

They made a little egg family.

Easter Sunday the kids found their Easter baskets filled with fun things.

Lea and Jonah also got Art Kits that they love.

Yummy Peeps!

In the afternoon we went to church and enjoyed hearing about and singing about our Savior Jesus Christ and his atonement and resurrection. He is our HOPE! I am so grateful for Him! He is the Light and the only way back to our Father in Heaven. What a miracle and a blessing! Happy Easter everyone!
