This is a pretty long play-list of our two on two coed tournament last Saturday. We had a lot of fun and played really well. So thank you Craig A. for giving up your Saturday and taking great footage and Megen A. for being an awesome teammate and most of all Aleena, thanks for spending the day with us and supporting me in my obsession. :)
Megen is about to put down one of the few proper sets I efforted during the days events. I really need to work on my setting.
Getting ready to receive.
Megen put up a so many perfect sets for me, it is a shame I could not turn them all. This one ended very nicely for us.
An OK set by giving Megen something to work with at least.
This was a great kill that blasted through the top of the net, another perfect set by Megen.
Tonight I came home to these beautiful roses. The note said "Because" inside from my sweetie. I love you Daniel! Thank you for being a wonderful husband. I am so in love with you!!!
This day at Six Flags Daniel came with us but we split up because Lea wanted to go on big rides with Daddy.
Micah and Jonah were so excited to go on this ride. Neither of them had been on it before.
But as soon as the first drop came, Micah was in tears. He did not like the dropping sensation and how it made his stomach drop. This was the first ride he hasn't liked.
The carousel was just the right ride to get him happy again!
It has been such a busy month that I am just now posting about the first day of school - August 15th. The first two weeks have been going very well. Here are my cuties all ready to be big kids at school!
Jonah is really liking first grade. Hallelujah! He is doing very well and he has matured a lot. He likes his teacher and he likes school! Yay Jonah!
Lea is a mature second grader now. She likes second grade and is a natural when it comes to school. She is reading at a fifth grade reading level already at the beginning of second grade! She has begun the Harry Potter series and it is fun to enjoy that with her!
We didn't win, not even close, but it was fun to work out what we need to work on to be more competitive. We gave up on standard overhead setting because they kept calling us on ball rotation. So we need to work on setting and passing, passing and more passing. I am looking forward to the two on two coed tournament next weekend.
Daniel had a lot of fun playing volleyball with the city league. They just finished their season last week. Here are some pictures of the championship game.
