Point Reyes Sea Kayaking Trip

Just about to set off, all ready to try this Sea Kayaking thing out...

Little did we know that I had grabbed the wrong key off my key chain and was about to lock my keys in my car just after taking this picture, but no worries I was able to "Mcgyver" it open with a piece of wire I found on the beach.
The water was so still and glassy, high definition nature at its best. Truly a treat for the senses, I do appreciate this world our Heavenly Father has created for us and it does truly denote his Hand in its existence.

After I rolled my kayak seeing how fast I could push myself, Brent helped paddle my sodden craft to shore with me in tow. On the beach, in the tidal muck were these tubal creatures that every so often would spurt water streams a good 12 inches or so into the air. Brent called them "tremmers" and they looked king of like the same named monsters from Kevin Bacon's classic. There were also some exposed jelly donut like things that would retract if you nudged them. It was fun to see and explore, I truly am still a kid when it comes to this kind of stuff.

After a 3 and a half mile paddle we reached a vast tidal beach and the ocean. It was gorgeous.

K'nex

Daddy loves K'nex just as much as the kids do!

Jonah got some k'nex for Christmas and the whole family has enjoyed playing with them. One day during the kids' vacation Lea and Jonah created an amusement park with them.

This was a photo op ride called a "picture mobile" that they made.

This ride above is called "The Relaxation Ride".

This was a giant slide ride called "Twister".

This is the "Cafe" game. Depending on what color block you knock down, it changes your menu at the cafe.

Their theme park ends with a waterfall ride. It's so fun to see my kids being creative!

Happy New Year!

The kids rang in the new year with Grandma. They went in the hot tub under the stars and then played with glow sticks in the dark and toasted sparkling cider at "midnight" - Eastern Time. :)

Daniel and I spent the evening with our good friends Brent and Anissa at Six Flags. We went on roller coaster rides and enjoyed each others company.

Yay for 2012!

Christmas Day 2011

Christmas Morning started at 7:00am. It was magical as always to see the pretty presents under the tree and in the stockings.

We always get yummy chocolate oranges in our stockings Christmas morning.
And fun new movies.

Everyone got socks too.

Mommy got slippers and Micah got a stuffed T-Rex!

Jonah has wanted an egg timer for several months now. He was happy to see this in his stocking.
Back scratchers were a big hit this year in our stockings as well.
Next we opened gifts from the kids. Lea and Jonah each bought each other silly putty.
Micah got dinosaurs and a Mickey Mouse toy airplane from his brother and sister.

Everybody got new pajamas.

Jonah got a new suit!
Lea got the CD's of all the primary songs.
We are going to smell good this year!

Jonah got Kinects.

Lea got a harmonica.
Micah got his own laptop computer!
We also got some fun games.

Thank you hugs!!!

We all had fun playing with our toys.

Then we got dressed up for church to celebrate our Savior's birth - the true meaning of Christmas! Lea and Jonah sang two songs in the small children's choir of 8 kids. They did awesome!
Here are my good-looking kids in their Christmas outfits.

After church we went to Grandma's house to open more gifts.

Lea gave this pretty porcelain Nativity scene to Grandma.
Aunt Cheryl gave Jonah a sword.

Steven gave our family Twister and two movies.

Lea got a Build-A-Bear from Aunt Cheryl.

Aunt Cheryl gave Micah a big Mickey Mouse.

Steven got new shoes and a new jacket.
We all chipped in to give my mom a fire pit for her backyard. It's awesome!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
