Larry's Produce Pumpkin Patch

My mom and I took my adorable kids to Larry's Produce and the pumpkin patch. It is a fun fall tradition that I love! Here are some fun pictures of my "punkins" with the pumpkins!

Nana and Bapa's Visit

Daniel's parents came from Utah to visit us and we had a fabulous time with them!

Nana was wonderful with her grandchildren. She played the keyboard with Lea and Micah and helped Jonah with his homework. Thanks Nana!

The kids loved wrestling with Bapa and Jonah taught him how to play "stair ball" - a game he and Lea invented and love.

We took them kayaking to one of our favorite spots - Lake Solano.

We had a great time with Stan and Roxanna! We love you mom and dad!

Winchester Mystery House

Stan and Roxanna came to visit us and we had a great time with them. Daniel and I explored the Winchester Mystery House with them and here are some pictures from our adventure.

There is no photography allowed inside the house but it was a very interesting tour throughout the unique house. Sarah Winchester was a sad and paranoid woman and this house she spent 33 years and over $5 million remodeling and adding onto was quite fascinating to experience. She had continuous construction 24 hrs a day that was ongoing on the house because of what a psychic told her that this was the only way to evade and confuse the spirits of the people who had been killed by Winchester rifles that her husbands family manufactured. I found it very sad that she had no friends and lived her whole life in fear.

This statue was put on the property in a tribute to all the Native Americans who died by the Winchester Rifle and the deer below was positioned on the property as something for this "Indian" to hunt.

We got the "Behind the Scenes" Tour which took us into the basement where we were required to wear hard hats.

There were some spooky things around the garden for their scary Halloween nighttime tours.

It was fun to experience this with Daniel's parents. We love you Stan and Roxanna!

Stats

In September I took all three kids to get check-ups with our pediatrician. Here are the current stats for my cuties!

My Beautiful, Spunky Lea - 7 1/2 years old
69 lbs. 4 feet 2 1/2 inches tall
This 2nd grade smarty loves to read, hula hoop, jump rope, do hand stands, sing, and dance.

My loving Jonah-bear - 6 1/2 years old
59 lbs. 4 feet 1 inch tall
This fun first grader loves soccer, stair ball, legos, hearing stories, and wrestling with his Dad.

My Sweet Micah Monster - 2 1/2 years old
34 lbs. 3 feet 2 inches
This adorable toddler loves climbing and jumping, singing, Mickey Mouse, superheroes, dinosaurs, and being like his big brother and sister.

Girl Scouts

Last week Lea and I had the opportunity to host a Brownie meeting for Lea's girl scout troop. Since I was in charge, I chose for the girls to earn a cooking badge/patch. There were 10 girls over and I planned for the meeting to be during Micah's nap, so it worked perfectly. Jonah joined along and we had a great time.

After the pledge of allegiance and the girl scout promise we started cooking.

We began by making pizza! The girls helped me make pizza dough following a recipe that I gave to each of them. Then while that was rising, the girls used dough that I had made earlier that had already risen to make individual pizzas with their choice of toppings. This was very fun!

While the pizzas cooked, we made recipe books and the girls glued their pizza dough recipe onto the first page. And then we made fruit kabobs to eat with our pizzas when they came out of the oven. It was a fun and delicious brownie meeting!

The meeting ended with the girl scout friendship circle. Lea loves being in girl scouts and as a former girl scout myself it was fun to have this meeting with them.
