Pumpkin Patch with the Girl Scouts

This is Lea's second year being a Daisy Girl Scout and she loves it! Today the troop went to the Suisun Valley Pumpkin Patch and Jonah, Micah, and I went along to check it out too.

I feel like I'm never in any pictures because I'm always behind the camera. So here I am on the other side.

We had a lot of fun in the corn maze. While Lea was busy doing official Daisy business, Jonah, Micah and I explored the kiddie corn maze.

The boys enjoyed throwing dirt rocks and watching them break apart.

Later we joined Lea's troop in the bigger maze. Danielle, Lea, and Jonah held hands through the whole thing. SO CUTE!

Fun Times

This is a cute picture of Micah relaxing on our Slacker Sack and watching the BYU game with our good friends the Callisters.

This is a "Candy Corn Cake" that Lea and Jonah invented for our Family Home Evening treat. It's homemade white cake with candy corn in it with butter cream frosting topped with a candy corn smiley face. Cute and very sweet!

Jonah's Space Swim Birthday Party

Although Jonah's birthday isn't until December, we celebrated 2 months early so he could have a swim party. Jonah wanted a swim party with a space theme. So of course the kids wanted to help me decorate. Jonah made one picture, and I made one picture, but Lea made four and we used them all to decorate for the party.

It was so cute having these fun alien and spacey hand-made pictures!

We began the party by decorating flying saucer frisbees. I got the idea online. I stapled two paper plates together and the kids decorated them with crayons and stickers. They actually work really well as frisbees!

My mom was awesome! Not only for letting us use her fabulous yard for the party, but also for getting in the pool with the kids and playing games with them in there.

Daniel brought this paddle board for the kids to play on and "surf" on. It was a hit!

I prepared a couple of snack platters. The kids loved that I had mixed swedish fish in with the goldfish. Yum!

This is Jonah's rocket ship birthday cake! It was super easy to make and it turned out pretty cute.

After cake I gathered the kids together and I told them about a meteor rock that had exploded over my mom's backyard the night before! I gave them bags and they all went on a meteor rock hunt. The "moon rocks" or "meteor rocks" were starbursts and bouncy balls wrapped in silver tinfoil. It turned out really cute and the kids loved it!

Then it was time to open presents.

Jonah is a very lucky boy with generous friends and the is grateful for all the gifts he received.
The next day we put together a Spiderman puzzle he got. It was a fun family activity while Micah was napping. :)
