Update On My Dad

My dad wasn't able to get the surgery done earlier but the doctors did a scope thing to look inside at his pancreas and they are pretty sure that the mass is not cancerous. So that is good. They also put a stent in to open up the blockage and that has helped his organs to work again. Since the pancreas is not functioning much and it is what produces insulin, my dad is now a diabetic and he has been adjusting to that. They still need to remove the mass and his new surgery date is March 10th. Thank you all for the love, support, and prayers. It has brought my family great comfort. Here are some fun pics of my dad.

My Dad's Health

This has been an emotional week for my family. On Tuesday morning my dad went into the emergency room with jaundice, super high glucose levels and high blood pressure. The doctors gave him a CT scan and they found a mass in his pancreas blocking off the other connecting organs. They are not sure if it is malignant but my dad is having surgery on Friday to remove the mass. We are asking all who would to pray and fast for my dad on Friday. Thank you for your love and support.

Called To Serve!

My cousins Kyle and Craig Urrutia were both called to serve as full-time missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in two different areas of Chile. They enter the Mission Training Center tomorrow, Wednesday, February 6th. They came with their parents, Uncle Dave and Aunt Jeran, their big brother James and his wife Erin, and their little brother Brennon. We had dinner, visited and sent Kyle and Craig on their way. Last weekend our family took a trip to St. George. The weather was a little warmer but still cool. We had a great time. Stan and Roxanna were there and Dan's brother Seth and his family came the day before we left. Roxanna and Lea and I had a great time shopping and we made a few fabulous finds. Jonah and Dan and Stan went mudding and target practicing. It was a nice getaway weekend.This was the first time the kids had stayed in a hotel. They really liked it.

Sunday afternoon Jonah took a nap and Lea sat by him making up lullaby's to sing to him while playing with his hair. She is such a good big sister.

Jonah's Birthday Party
